Laura and Dan met in Toronto a few years back and recently moved to Ottawa together for work. They were planning on attending Dan’s office Christmas party and decided to spend the night at a charming hotel in Perth after the event. Dan was insistent that they get room service and breakfast in bed as a winter holiday treat to enjoy their time out of the city. Unfortunately, that next morning, he called down and there was no room service. His plans for a romantic breakfast-in-bed fell through quickly, but Dan didn’t break a sweat because he had a backup plan. He insisted that Laura wait in the room while he ran down to grab some take-out breakfast of waffles and fruit from the dining room. Upon his return, he presented his findings and popped the question right then and there – a moment of fun, silliness and plenty of laughter. And that’s how these two wonderful humans always are. Full of enthusiasm, adventure and always laughing. We had so much fun photographing their Andrew Hayden Park engagement shoot, despite all the goose droppings around us (which made us laugh plenty as well!).
Laura described her wedding vision as rustic, boho, wildflower-filled (Thanks to Katherine from Pollen Nation Floral Studio who I’m sure will do an incredible job fulfilling this vision) and full of love, happiness and laughter. A perfect reflection of who they are, and such an ideal match for our own creative style too! So looking forward to their Evermore wedding this fall!
