So many special moments stood out from Thea and Kellan’s wedding that took place this past weekend at Social in the heart of Ottawa’s downtown core. The overall elegant, laid-back and exciting vibe of their wedding is one that can’t be forgotten. A big shout out to Erica Irwin Weddings and Events who helped everything run so smoothly. Kellan’s heart-felt speech directed to his parents and their wonderful example of a strong, beautiful marriage. The long flowy black bridesmaids dresses that her besties wore. Thea wore her grandmother’s gorgeous vintage ring - such a show stopper. The words used by family and friends to describe Thea: Brilliant. Down-to-earth. Joyful. The wedding cake that was baked by Kellan’s mom. So many wonderful bits and pieces that made Thea and Kellan’s wedding perfectly them.
Thea, Kellan - I hope you enjoy looking through these photos as you eat those delicious buttery croissants while honeymooning in France!
My favourites were far far too many. So here’s what I could include without posting the entire gallery!
The entire bridal party got ready at Le Germain Hotel, A sleek modern hotel in the heart of downtown. We spent several hours here photographing every detail of the bridal party. A perfect ‘getting ready’ space with its minimalist decor and neutral colours.
Thea wore her grandmother’s vintage ring, passed down to her.
This group of ladies were such a delight to hang out with!
I want to see the photos they took on their phone of Thea’s reaction too!
Because we had ample time allotted for this portion of the day, we took tons of bridal photos of Thea alone. I’m so glad we did because she was glowing!
Here’s a little love for the groom, because he looked pretty dapper!
Thea and Kellan had their first look right behind the iconic Chateau Laurier. Don’t be fooled, the area was brimming with people, but we found the right spot and placement for a private moment to themselves.
We were all tearing up at this moment!
We caught some of the last blossoming trees in the area!
The architecture of the Chateau was a perfect backdrop to bring those European-vibes to their portraits!
The bridal party joined us later on at the balcony of Chateau Laurier!
Their faces were all smiles and laughter, without a care in the world!
One of my favourite shots of this group. Thea’s idea to shoot from the stairs!
Their ceremony took place in the quiet Brantwood Park a few minutes drive away.
After the ceremony, everyone went on over to Social for the reception.
Many buffets of mouthwatering delicacies!
It was a night full of laughter..
Memorable words of love..
