Sugar Shack Engagement Shoot | Camille + Joey
Camille and Joey knew each other since high school, but only began dating when they reconnected in university in Kingston. Six years later, they began talking about their future together and the topic of engagement and wedding came to the forefront of their discussions. One cold winter day in February, Joey planned to propose to Camille and he made sure they got into a fight the night before to remove any suspicions she might have had of a pending proposal. Her sister, who knew about the plan, was visiting for the weekend and so they went out shopping to blow off some steam. All along, Camile’s sister was leading her over to the Marina Park in front of city hall where Joey stood there waiting patiently. Camille was all sorts of confused when he asked her sister to leave them for a minute. But once he began talking, Camille finally clued in that he was proposing. There was lots of crying, screaming and laughter. And lots of hugs and kisses.
Camille and Joey are getting married next summer on their family’s farm and wanted to bring a bit of their childhood country life into their engagement photos. So we headed out to Camille’s family sugar last week, enjoyed an afternoon picnic in an open field and walked along an empty country road breathing in the romantic fall crimsons and auburn. Ali and I are so pumped to witness their nuptials next August!
