When I met Tori to chat about her fall wedding, she described it as a fusion of minimal, industrial and tropical. Combining the taste of creative, vibrant people like Tori and Tristan, at Ottawa’s premier waterfront wedding venue, Zibi, with the design and planning expertise of Elise from Toast Events, you can expect nothing short of a unique, artistic experience.
Tori brought both classic glamour and modern aesthetic into all her wedding details. Her wedding ring was her grandmother’s and her earrings were borrowed from her mother, also passed down from her grandmother. She wore a beautiful two piece Martina Liana wedding dress from With Love Bridal and gold flats to top off her glamorous look. Perfect for her cocktail-party loving nature. I especially loved that her bridesmaids wore mismatched white dresses.
Tori and Tristan had their first look in front of their own home, surrounded by the cheers of their family and best friends. They then ventured off to Lemieux Island for their portraits, a park where they spent much of their down time hanging out with their dog, Tilly. They said their 'I dos' against the backdrop of the Ottawa River and the downtown architectural jungle. Tristan turned out to be a pretty amazing singer too. After dinner, he sang a special song to the tune of his guitar dedicated to his new wife and had everyone in the room smiling from ear to ear. Everything was so perfectly them.
We loved following your adventures honeymooning in Japan. Your animation-loving hearts must have been bursting. Congratulations you two!
