As a nurse, Claire works the late evening shift quite often and comes home late just about ready to hit the hay. On a September night, one nervous Sunny surprised Claire upon her arrival from a busy night at the clinic right at the brink of midnight. Although they had been talking about marriage for a while, it was no less surprising, romantic, exciting and emotional when Sunny got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.
Claire and Sunny wanted to bring in their everyday lives into their engagement shoot. For them that meant hanging out on their patio in the heart of downtown Ottawa with their adorable cats and walking around the Byward Market enjoying the humid heat that summer brings.
Thank you both for bringing me along to hang out. Even though it took us 45 minutes to drive through town because of La Machine, were threatened by scary clouds and bombarded by too many people in the streets - you guys were such a delight and didn’t care about all the elements that worked against us. And because of that, that easy love you have for one another immediately jumps out through the glances and smiles in your photos. I’m so excited to be photographing your Indian fusion wedding next month in Little Italy at Sala San Marco!
