One of the most heartfelt ceremonies I’ve ever experienced was at Camille and Joey’s garden-inspired wedding in Hawkesbury. The officiant asked everyone witnessing to pause for a moment, look at their loved one next to them, hold their hand and truly feel the love emanating in the air as they all witnessed Camille and Joey’s vows. It was remarkable how almost everyone there teared up, smiled at the person next to them and breathed happiness all over. They took a few moments to reflect their own lives and experiences and sent an abundance of positive and loving vibes over to the bride and groom by this simple act. One of the most touching experiences at a wedding!
Camille glowed in her Essence of Australia gown from Revelle Bridal Boutique (“it has pockets!” she exclaimed to me when I first saw her in it!) and Joey beamed all day looking at his beautiful new bride. Camille said that it didn’t take her long before she fell in love with Joey during their dating years in university and it had a lot to do with the tenderness and love that she sees in his eyes. Isn’t that the most romantic thing ever!?
It was so hard to choose favourites to highlight so I added a whole bunch more to feast your eyes today!
Now that’s a dress with pockets! Beautiful design by Essence of Australia, one of my fav designers and available right here in Ottawa at Revelle Bridal Boutique!
Camille designed the invitations herself! Simple, sweet and beautiful.
The all white and green garden-inspired bouquet by Jade Gardens blew us all away!
Camille asked me where she could find silk ribbons to give her bouquet an extra fine art aesthetic. I told her to look no further than Christine Breton of Lafabere Weddings. The simple addition of silk ribbon elevated her look tenfolds!
Joey spent that early morning hanging out with his buddies on his family’s private country residence before the first look!
Here we go. Why EVERYONE should consider having a first look before the ceremony!
The sky was threatening, but we managed to get through all these photos with the sun every so often peeping through to give us some glow.
It wasn’t easy keeping this group of good looking people orderly. But here’s my attempt.
Holding back tears.
I love how her ladies were glowing as they watched their dear friend walk down the aisle.
Holding hands and sending the couple lots of positive vibes and love!
The biggest smiles ever!
Three generations together!
After the ceremony, we sped off to the Hawkesbury Country Club for the reception and had plenty of time to photograph the beautiful space before guests arrived.
My favourite detail of all details. Cake + donuts. Made by the groom’s cousin!
Told ya I couldn’t keep this bridal party tame!
Lots of laughter and cheers…
..and tears of happiness…
…and small moments to savour…
At sunset, we frolicked out for a few minutes to capture these two in the softest sunset glow.
The rest of the evening was followed by hilarious speeches by parents, siblings and friends…
The night has begun!
