They were first friends at work. Ian, who is a quiet, contemplative kind of guy, was captivated by Uzma's bubbly and kind personality. Her sweet demeanour, always paired with a huge beautiful smile, is one of her contagious assets. She makes friends in an instance and Ian couldn't help but be one of them for the longest time. Their friendship blossomed into a deeper, more meaningful relationship that, years later, ended up with an engagement ring on her finger.
This love story starts way back in the day. Ashley and Sarmad met when they were in their teens working together at Cosmic Adventures. So cute eh!? Their friendship spanned many years of working together, hanging out with mutual friends, and eventually into a blossoming relationship that culminated in a new year's eve proposal! Ashley confessed that what she loves best about Sarmad is his ability to look on the positive side and make her feel amazing all the time. Sarmad..he just plainly loves everything about Ashley!
Jocelyn and Steve's worlds intertwined on many fronts over the past years; as students during their undergrad life at Trent University, eventually becoming actors and now teachers. Their lives changed permanently when one day, on a very special date in Ancaster, Steve decided to seal the deal, get down on one knee, and ask Jocelyn to spend the rest of their lives together.
As all my friends know, I am a jewelry fiend in love with big statement pieces and long-lasting heirlooms. And yes, the two can definitely go together if worn with the right attitude. As I type, I'm wearing my grandmother's turquoise stone on one finger and shiny gold beads around my neck dangling down my sweater. The most recent pieces in my collection (yes I do now have a collection!) have a special place in my heart. They remind me of the times of wandering through hidden alleyways, experiencing unique cultures and being by Ali's side full of love and excitement.
