What an honour it was to be part of such a special day with Genevieve and Jason! After a two year-engagement and going through several life challenges together as a young couple, these two kind humans committed to one another amidst their favourite people with the blessings of their adorable son, Loic.
Oh, the infamous first look.
Whenever we meet with a couple, we always ask if they have thought about having a private reveal or what is more popularly known as 'the first look'. If you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about, here’s the gist: The bride and groom get to see each other for the first time on their wedding day before the ceremony. They have a few minutes (or however long they want) alone together to enjoy the moment in privacy before spending the rest of the day with everyone else. Some choose to read their personal vows to one another while others opt to simply enjoy each other’s company before the rest of the day unfolds. I would say, 90% of our couples decide to have a first look, even those with a religious ceremony later in the day. There are a multitude of reasons why, so I’ve narrowed down 4 of the top mentions.
Jeanette and Michael celebrated their fall wedding day on top of the city at the new Andaz Hotel (Andaz Ottawa Byward Market). When I met Tori to chat about her fall wedding, she described it as a fusion of minimal, industrial and tropical. Combining the taste of creative, vibrant people like Tori and Tristan, at Ottawa’s premier waterfront wedding venue, Zibi, with the design and planning expertise of Elise from Toast Events, you can expect nothing short of a unique, artistic experience.

One cold winter day in February, Joey planned to propose to Camille and he made sure they got into a fight the night before to remove any suspicions she might have had of a pending proposal.
