When Ann-Lori told me that she commissioned Stacey from The Design Co. to design and plan her wedding, I was all sorts of giddy. Bringing one of Ottawa’s premier wedding planning and floral design teams to create Ann-Lori’s vision from scratch was her dream come true. Elegance and luxury meets tropical and urban. This combination is so unique and different and The Design Co. nailed it!
When the bride walked down the aisle in her flowing Hayley Paige from White Satin Bridal, Ryan couldn’t help but let down a waterfall of tears. They had a number of their friends sing beautiful worship songs and play live music for all to sing along too. I was floored by their talent!
A musical-filled ceremony was followed by quite the swanky reception. Ann-Lori and Ryan chose to have their reception at the All Saints Event Space, a historic church re-imaged as an urban space in downtown Ottawa. With it’s cathedral high ceilings, stained-glass windows, and old wooden accents, Stacey transformed this urban space into the most elegant, lively affair. Lush green centrepieces paired with bright tropical flowers. Tall glass candles, gold rimmed wine glasses and blue goblets lined the long harvest tables. Let’s not forget the added touch of matte gold cutlery and a desert table that you’ll be drooling over for days.
Thank you, Ann-Lori and Ryan, for giving us the opportunity to get to know you and your family and for celebrating your union.
Ladies and gentlemen, this wedding is a MUST-SEE! Go on and scroll down to get glimpses of my favourite photos of this special day. Full wedding vendor list of all those who made this happen is at the bottom.
This invitation suite was unreal! By the talented Citrus Press Co.
Ann-Lori chose a stylish, elegant Hayley Paige gown. It went so perfectly well with her graceful nature and sharp fashion sense.
They brought a Caribbean flavour to their wedding design by incorporating tropical greenery and florals to the bridal bouquet.
The funnest group of ladies ever!
All I can say is that Ann-Lori was the most graceful bride. Every move she made looked like she belonged in a magazine!
I think I’ll be getting myself this scent - I can still remember it!
The guys hung out together at the Army Officer’s Mess that morning.
Ryan was the most extroverted, fun-loving groom! His was so excited from the very onset of the day.
After the getting ready part of the day, it was off to the church in the Ottawa downtown core.
We all teared up at Ryan’s reaction to seeing his bride walking down the aisle!
The moment after the kiss!
For some reason, the processional is always one of my favourite parts. Everyone is smiling and clapping and cheering. And it’s seconds after the bride and groom have officially become husband and wife! These smiles are so special.
Ann-Lori and Ryan rented two huge limos to get their entire bridal party over to the Experimental Farm to get photos amidst the greenery.
We had a few minutes left to capture my absolute favourite part of the day, the bride and groom portraits.
We then sped back to the downtown core to capture the reception space before guests entered. We spent at least 45 minutes capturing all the intricate details that The Design Co. put together.
DROOL ON!
Ann-Lori and Ryan enjoyed a first dance immediately upon entering the reception. The sun was just about setting and slipped warm rays through the stain-glassed windows for that light glow.
