I don’t even know where to begin with these two! Emily, Jonah: thank you for bringing us along your beautiful journey. For allowing us to be part of your special day. To meet your sweet family and talented friends. To enjoy the evening to celebrate the two smart, kind, joyful humans that you are. You started off as lovers on Parliament Hill and are now newly minted husband and wife (and probably enjoying the crystal blue waters of the Maldives!).
We started our wedding season off with the biggest bang ever celebrating Emily and Jonah at the Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello. Of course knowing that the design, planning and florals were done by Frid, we expected nothing but gorgeousness for the overall style and feel of the day.
It was so hard to choose our favourites from their wedding, so please excuse the oversharing! Scroll all the way down for the entire creative team who made Emily and Jonah’s wedding dreams come true.
About an hour outside of Ottawa is this luxurious idyllic wedding venue! We were so lucky to have clear blue skies all day long.
Emily’s love for pink was evident in all her wedding details, and her velvet Coach heels did not disappoint.
The most beautiful garden-inspired bouquet designed by Brittany Frid from Frid.
Emily spent the morning hanging out with her closest of friends and sisters!
Jonah was a super happy groom, grinning all morning in anticipation of seeing his gorgeous bride.
One of our favourite parts of the day: the first look! A few moments alone before the celebrations of the day were shared with everyone else.
I mean, look at the smile on his face!
Jonah and Emily had pointed out the Manoir Papineau, an 1800s national historical site on the venue grounds as the perfect backdrop for their portraits.
Here comes the girl squad!
We had a quasi-recessional before the real one with friends and family!
Underneath the wooden canopy, the huppah was draped with white linen and stood over a beautiful flower-filled arch.
Seeing his bride walking down the aisle.
In the Jewish tradition, the groom typically breaks the glass after he has placed the ring on the bride’s finger. In Emily and Jonah’s case, they decided to break the glass together!
Fresh greenery, pink, nude, white flowers and lots of gold and blue linens filled the Outaouais Room that night!
And of course, they couldn’t somehow forget to incorporate their love for Pandas in their wedding cake!
The celebrations started off with the Horah dance (traditional Jewish wedding dance) around the room!
Jonah and Emily’s families are seriously talented artists, musicians, singers, everything! A few ballad’s in got the crowd laughing in tears.
We had 5 minutes to run down to the water for a few portraits before the big finale of the evening.
Something about the timelessness of blurry black and white images always gets me!
Jonah spent all morning preparing the feature presentation. He played and sang to his bride and the crowd went wild!
Both Jonah’s dad and brother wowed the house with their musical gifts too!
The bride got on stage with her sisters, who are equally as talented!
Ending the night on a very high note!
