We are battling jet lag this week, and it's beating us up so far. So we were super honoured to have our 'Botanical Rhapsody' bridal inspiration planned and executed by Toast Events, featured on Artfully Wed this week!
"Our concept took shape while walking through the perennial fields at our shoot location, picking flowers on a whim, pairing natural blooming vines, exposed greenery, post-bloom flowers – while designing onsite. We focused on combining organic, earthy and raw materials with ethereal highlights."
Qatar will always have a special place in our hearts. Hayat spent much of her first year of life here. She helped us see life here with much more focused and appreciative eyes. Her first giggles, words and steps were taken here. This makes my heart swell with an abundance of rainfall-like emotions. Gratitude. Humility. Thankfulness. And a mission. To continuously look at life through her innocent, curious, unbiased eyes. Full of wonder. Reckless abandon. Millions of possibilities. Always with a smile and a laugh ready to be bellowed out by any joke.
WE ARE MOVING. Back to Canada. In a little over a week. Our international life is now over and we are glad to be settling down in a place to call our home for the long-run. It’s bitter sweet! Hayat spent most of her life here in Qatar, so we’ll always have a soft spot for the country that saw Hayat roll for the first time, take her first steps and celebrate her first birthday. Getting slightly sentimental over here!
