Favourite Wedding Photos of 2018

I think 2018 was our biggest year ever on all fronts, both business and personal.  We shot the weddings of the sweetest, kindest and funniest couples who we connected with so perfectly.  It felt like we were photographing our friends’ weddings, so there were lots of tears (from Batoul) streaming down our faces throughout many first looks, ceremonies and speeches.

How does it go when you meet someone who you feel like you’ve already known your entire life?  Someone who makes you laugh so deeply and effortlessly EVERY SINGLE DAY?  That is Jaimee and Marc’s beautiful story of friendship turned true love that has been in the making over the last 10 years.

Jaimee and Marc first met through a mutual friend when they were in high school together.  Through a leadership retreat later that year and the opportunity to be in a play together, their effortless friendship became something more serious.  A few years later, attending the same university, they moved in together and bought their first home.  Marc proposed to Jaimee in a pre-engagement question book they had been working through together.

Laura and Chris’s wedding was everything artful, luxury and class.  Laura and her ladies got ready at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in the downtown core of Ottawa while Chris and the groomsmen got their suits on at the Andaz Hotel not too far away.  These two different starting points of the day totally spoke to their personal styles: sophisticated and trendy with a clear love for European-inspiration.

Everything fell into place perfectly as Laura texted me pictures of her fun wedding prep details, including her gorgeous Badgley Mischka studded heels that she would be wearing throughout the day.  She chose white, green, gold and lilac for her wedding colours, a perfect combination for a hot summer day.  An all white, cream and pale green wedding bouquet created by her florist, Beyond the House, that combined roses and ranunculus must have been the highlight of her details!  She went for my favourite garden-inspired bouquet style, which is what EVERY SINGLE BRIDE SHOULD DO (in my non-biased opinion haha).  She looked like a dream in her intricately detailed mermaid wedding dress from Allure Bridal.
