What an honour it was to be part of such a special day with Genevieve and Jason! After a two year-engagement and going through several life challenges together as a young couple, these two kind humans committed to one another amidst their favourite people with the blessings of their adorable son, Loic. Genevieve did not want to get stressed out about any of the planning and design details of the wedding, so she brought on board Brittany from Frid Events, to beautify everything. And did she ever! Brittany and Genevieve brought high-end fine-art country chic If that can even be a thing!) into a family farm setting. They transformed a silo into an entire tented venue draped in sheer white satin, crystal lights and lots and lots of wild flowers with mauve, blush, nude, mustard and lavendar hues throughout.
The desert table caught my sweet-loving heart because, well, DONUTS! All kinds of them, and they were the most delicious deserts I’ve ever tasted! All thanks to Tout Beigne. Can you be my neighbours, please?
While everything looked and felt incredible, what I loved the most out of this wedding was how Genevieve and Jason paid homage to their baby angel watching down through a butterfly release. It was a very emotional moment, and there was not a dry eye in the room.
Genevieve, Jason: Ali and I had a blast photographing your love-filled French-inspired countryside wedding in Quebec. We’re super excited to be following you along your journey’s next chapter.
One of my favourite details of the day was this big, beautiful, wild bouquet by Brittany of Frid Events, who seriously outdid herself!
Genevieve went for multi-toned blue and grey for her bridesmaids dresses - keeping it modern, stylish and minimalistic.
Genevieve chose to have a first look with her father before the ceremony - I think everyone in the room was crying at this point!
Jason got ready with his family and their adorable son, Loic.
The silo that was transformed into the perfect wedding venue on their family property!
With a sudden onset of rain, the ceremony was pushed right inside the reception space, where the cocktail was also held. It kept everything even more intimate and special!
In honour of their angel baby, Genevieve and Jason held an emotional butterfly release during the ceremony.
Here are just a few of my favourite details that Brittany of Frid Events created for Genevieve and Jason’s French countryside wedding.
I cannot get over every single one of these garden-inspired, organic floral arrangements that brought such a high-end chic aesthetic to the festivities.
These donuts by Tout Beigne were the most incredible things I’ve ever tasted!
A few seconds right before the downpour…
A few seconds immediately after the downpour…still smiling!
Because of the unpredictable rain throughout the afternoon, we only had a handful of minutes to take Genevieve and Jason’s portraits in between downpours! Here is just some of the beauty we got!
Aren’t they the cutest!?
I’m seriously a bouquet lover. Well, THIS bouquet in particular!
The ladies hopped in for a few moments to get photos of all of them together in their soft blue and grey bridesmaids dresses.
Let the party begin!
