To say 2017 has been a beautiful, chaotic mess is an understatement.
We started off with a bang with the birth of our baby girl, Hayat, in January. And she would be destined to travel A LOT in her first year of life with wide-eyed parents like hers! We took Hayat, at age 4 months, to Cape Town, South Africa. To Dubai. Then to Canada for a few months. Then to Qatar for another few more. Then to Oman in the mountains at age 11 months.
This love story began far away in the Australian outback when a free-spirited Canadian backpacker met an intelligent, down-to-earth British boy during a weekend getaway with mutual friends in Airlie Beach. What started off with Gillian daring Chris to climb up a coconut tree, which he apparently didn’t do a great job of, soon blossomed into something they both didn’t expect.
This wedding must have been the most energy-filled one I've ever second shot from last summer for my friend, Ashley Notley. The bridal party was hilarious, the families were loads of fun, and the dancing began immediately after their epic entrance. Did I not mention the fresh shrimp bar being served in the middle of the dance floor?
Steve thought she was the prettiest girl in the room. With her witty sense of humour and vivacious laugh, he knew he had to get to know her as she sat down next to him during their acting class. They soon found out that they shared many loves. Acting, teaching, history, a yearning for meaningful and lasting relationships and each other.
