I had SO MUCH FUN putting this post together today! I was smiling like a giddy old fool selecting my favourite engagement photos of 2017.
It's no secret that I'm a little obsessed with engagement photos. It's such a wonderful, fleeting time in a couple's life that deserves to be preserved. And besides, I get to witness so much love and sweetness and connect with my couples before the big day. It's a win-win for everyone!

Sugar Shack Engagement Shoot | Camille + Joey
Camille and Joey knew each other since high school, but only began dating when they reconnected in university in Kingston. Six years later, they began talking about their future together and the topic of engagement and wedding came to the forefront of their discussions. One cold winter day in February, Joey planned to propose to Camille and he made sure they got into a fight the night before to remove any suspicions she might have had of a pending proposal.
University of Ottawa Engagement Shoot | Laura + Renaud
They were both students at the University of Ottawa in the same criminology field. He was in the French program and she was in the English one. So they never had an opportunity to cross paths on campus. Until one day they ended up hanging out with a common group of friends on the day that Renaud did not have a class. It was at this point that Laura jokingly said to her friend that Renaud was her soulmate.
Nepean Point Ottawa Engagement Shoot | Liz + Ryan
In Ryan’s own words, they met in the most ‘Canadian’ of ways. Liz and Ryan were in a curling league on opposing teams. It took him until the end of the season to work up the courage to ask Liz out on a date. Years later, after Ryan surprised Liz with a candlelit dinner at home, he surprised her again by getting down on one knee and proposing to the love of his life.
