So, this trip happened as a result of Batoul's ability to skillfully scower the internet to find the best travel deals possible. We've never travelled to Europe before. Yes, we know, we've been missing out for the longest time. Our usual shenanigans take us out to Asia and the Middle East, but this time around, we were looking for a more politically stable vacation where we wouldn't have to keep watch for curfews and AK-47s. Months ago, Ali and I contributed towards a humanitarian fundraiser to help support displaced Iraqis currently living in inadequate conditions as a result of war. This initiative hits close to the heart after having recently seen, first hand, some of the difficult living conditions in the country. The magnitude of the situation makes us feel so helpless, so while tiny, we decided to use our talents for something bigger than ourselves. We raffled off a photoshoot at a fundraiser back in February. We were so happy to hear from Isabelle and Arman after they won a photo session with us!
I woke up this gloomy fall Monday morning with a mission. A blogging mission. That I would write a brilliant, aesthetically pleasing, exciting, informative and wedding photography-related blog post every day for the month of November! Ambitious much? Definitely. So I’ll take a step back and restart.
It seems like I keep discovering gem locations around this city that are such perfect backdrops to shoot in. This one is a long sliver of white sandy beach right next to cottage country at Constance Bay. It gave off a bit of a prairie feel with the long winding grass and trees scattered across the sand. Having recently begun appreciating the beauty and serenity of beaches (I've always been a city gal, but nature has been calling me all the way from the Sinai to the West Coast!), this place was on top of my list for the next bridal shoot.
