National Gallery of Canada Engagement | Val + Paul

National Gallery of Canada Engagement | Val + Paul

Val and Paul’s love story started when Paul passed Val his number on a napkin.
Rewind a few days prior, Val and Paul met by pure chance through work a few years ago.  Paul was an AV technician in Toronto and ended working at Val’s work’s annual event and spent a few days in Ottawa.  Her role was to be the power-point girl, the one who pushes the button to change the slides for the speakers. She was really not looking forward to this event and wasn’t at all expecting that she’d be meeting her future husband.  Although they had chatted a bit over the few days that Paul was working the event, nothing really ‘happened’.

Gatineau Park Pink Lake Engagement | Audra + Mike

Audra and Mike first met as students back in 2003. They lived in the same residence at McMaster University and naturally became friends.  After flying home together to Ottawa for Thanksgiving dinner, they made the connection that Mike’s dad had been Audra’s family doctor when she was really little.  Small world!  These two had remained friends over the years and bumped into each other now and again as they both started their teaching careers in Ottawa.

Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello Wedding | Jessica + Rylan

My favourite things about Jessica and Rylan’s wedding at Le Fairmont Chateau Montebello this past weekend are the following:

  • The father-daughter first look. Made us all melt and cry watching from afar.

  • Rylan’s sweet grandpa who wanted to make sure he got a good photo with his grandson.

  • How Rylan looked at Jessica with such affection and love throughout the entire day.

Wakefield Engagement Shoot | Katie + Ryan

Katie and Ryan first met while Ryan was visiting a mutual friend (who is one of Katie’s bridesmaids!) in Peterborough where Katie was going to school.  Here’s the most memorable part of the start to their relationship: when they all went to a party together and accidentally went home and left Ryan completely alone at the party!  Luckily, he forgave Katie and returned for another visit a few weekends later.  Katie knew there was something special between them.
