As they say, love conquers all and knows no distance. Or as Raehil put it "because 580 miles apart got nothing on us". Raehil and her family flew in from Washington state, USA to good old Ottawa, Canada to celebrate the union of one of the most vibrant brides I've ever seen in an intimate and private setting in Rayyan's family home with close friends and family.
It’s been ten years since Cassie and Morgan officially became an item, and more than twenty since they’ve known one another. They grew up together in a small town just north of Toronto. Cassie admitted that they used to spend hours and hours giggling on the phone all night long with the carefree air of young teenage love, even gushing that they’d get married one day. As the fates have it, they were both accepted into university in Ottawa. And so their journey together has continued in the heart of the capital, with cappuccinos in their hand, heads in their books and open hearts to what the future has to hold.
I can sum it up by saying that this past year was quite adventurous. And with all adventures come difficulty, self-doubt and little to no direction. But also with adventure, comes opportunities to forge new pathways, map out your dreams, fulfill them and appreciate the present moment for what it is rather than what you expect it to be.
